First blog post.. I feel like I’m welcoming a friend of a friend into my home and I’m doing the awkward shuffle, not knowing whether to shake hands or hug. Do you be all formal ’cause it’s your first meeting and you’re technically strangers or hug it out like old pals cause you feel like you already know them. I’m feeling friendly so I’m going to go with the good old bear hug today & get right into it.
My name is Caitlin and I’m a 22 year old recent graduate with a degree in Public Relations majoring in Communications Studies. I live on the sometimes sunny Sunshine Coast with my man friend (that doesn’t sound as cute as it did in my head) and two roommates. I wish I could of said chocolate Labrador puppy instead of roommates but we can’t be too picky, can we? I love living by the ocean, chai lattes, New Girl, reading travel blogs & discovering new tea’s. I am currently working in hospitality & realised I can’t just sit back and wait for the ‘perfect’ job to land in my lap. So I recently decided to put the real-life job search on hold, follow my dreams, go out on a whim and open my own online vintage store, Little Paper Hearts.
I plan on using this blog to provide readers & LPH followers with a more one-on-one approach. I am going to share behind the scenes shots of LPH photoshoots as well as post about all of my favourite things in the world; the interesting places I visit, things and people that inspire me, DIY tutorials and fashion trends. I want to have a place to talk about my passions and get all of the crazy out of my head. I mean, whaaaat? I mean, all of the cute rainbows out of my head? Honestly though, I really just want a way to better connect with you all. I’m from Gen Y, what do you expect.
On a serious note, I am really excited to start this journey and share it all with you. I really appreciate and encourage any feedback you wish to leave, which can be done through comments on this blog, an email to me at caitlin(at)littlepaperhearts.com or through the LPH Facebook page, which you can access here. Suggestions on new tea’s also encouraged and accepted.
Thank you for reading!
Lots of love,
Little Paper Hearts x
